Sicilian farmers used sawed-off double barrel shotguns to protect their vineyards from invasive pests. However, they were later associated with organized crime due to the fact that the mafia used them for hits.
What does it mean to capture the white rabbit who is always running after time?
In Alice in Wonderland, the Hatter (not mad yet) is sentenced to death by the Queen of Hearts for “murdering the time” with the song he attempts to sing at her celebration. He escapes death, but not the attention of Time. Time is so angry with the Hatter for “killing” him that Time halts time itself, imprisoning the Hatter in time, at six p.m., the time for tea.
The Hatter went mad after being frozen in time and having to do the same things over and over again. By the time Alice meets him, he is completely mad and incapable of normal conversation. He randomly yells, “Tea Time!” How often do we get stuck in a routine, doing the same thing day after day? We become tired of that routine tedium.
In a similar manner, the white rabbit is always running after time, always late. Regardless of how fast he runs, he will keep running late. This symbolizes the human condition, prisoner of time, day after day, in a life itself bound to lose against its fight against the passing of time, and end with death.
What does a black horse branded with an upside down symbol of the Masons represent?
This is a response to the attempted political overthrow of the patriarchal organization of society. The fixation on the old methods of the "Creative Minority" leads civilization to eventually cease to be creative and degenerates into merely a "dominant minority" (that forces the majority to obey without meriting obedience), failing to recognize new ways of thinking. Creative minorities deteriorate due to a worship of their "former self," by which they become prideful, and fail to adequately address the next challenge they face.
The ultimate sign a civilization has broken down is when the dominant minority forms a Universal State, which stifles political creativity. As civilizations decay, there is a schism in the social body. Those who transcend during a period of social decay give birth to a new collective spiritual bond of a common worship, or the same unity found in some kind of social order with new and stronger spiritual insights, around which a subsequent civilization may begin to form after the old has died.
This new order may be figuratively branded by the mark of the ‘Crazy Masons’ that features the masonic symbol, a historically fraternal organization that has been turned upside down. In cattle branding when a symbol is turned upside down it is called ‘Crazy’.
