Tiger Lily, the princess daughter of the chief in Peter Pan, stands on the shore in Neverland. The teddy bear, a cuddly protector that keeps children safe and secure as they sleep, is pierced through the heart by her spear. Captain Hook who kidnapped Tiger Lily at Skull Rock retreats to his ship.
3D Rendering – As part of my process, I designed, modeled, textured, lit, and rendered this image as a pre-visualization in Cinema 4D (the same software I teach in motion graphics). Oil Painting – Utilizing a grisaille method, I slowly build up translucent oil colors over a monotone drawing. I then paint the opaque layers in lighter areas to finish.
Dreamcatcher was on display at the Woodbury Art Museum from October 2 - December 8, 2021.
