Lynching Gutenberg
'Lynching Gutenberg' was on display January 3 - 31, 2018 at Baton Rouge Gallery – center for contemporary art (“BRG”) in Surreal Salon 10. The national exhibition was juried by Ron English. 'Lynching Gutenberg' was also on display at the Woodbury Art Museum from October 3 - December 9, 2017. Ghosts assemble under a full moon in protest to hang a statue of the late Johannes Gutenberg. Gutenberg was the inventor of movable type and the printing press in Europe. His invention ushered in freedom of speech and freedom of the press. The mob mentality of their deed leaves the horde muddled and hapless in the aftermath.
